Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CITRUS - As many as three suspects have been apprehended after Glendora Police initiated a foot pursuit in the unincorporated area of Azusa Wednesday.
Details are few, but Glendora Police are continuing a suspect search for at least two outstanding suspects in the area of Newburgh Street and Fairvalley Avenue. The search has been going on since before 9 a.m., according to Sgt. Pete Shupe of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station. As a precautionary measure Gladstone Street Elementary School is on a soft lockdown due to police activity in the area. All students and staff are safe, this is a precautionary measure only, according to school staff in a written statement on Facebook. No one at the Glendora Police Department is available yet for details on the search. The driver was taken to an area hospital. No one else was injured, according to a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The CHP is investigating. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CITRUS - No victims have turned up after deputies responding to a fight call Monday night found a substantial amount of blood in a home.
The blood was discovered leading away from the house and into a street in the 6100 block of Goodway Drive in Citrus, an unincorporated area near Azusa around 10 p.m. May 28. The blood was discovered in a bedroom, said Sgt. Terrance Smith of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station. No one has been arrested, or detained, Smith said. Deputies have checked area hospitals to find a victim, but no victims have turned up. The San Dimas Mountain Rescue Team will assist deputies in a search of the Azusa Canyons, an area infamous for the discovery of dead bodies. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau and San Dimas Sheriff's Station crime lab are on scene investigating. |
