The rider was detained and arrested about 10:52 p.m. on southbound Lope Lane, which is south of Route 66. The pursuit began on the eastbound 210 freeway near Grand Avenue. The rider refused to stop and led the CHP east into Claremont and Pomona at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour, according to California Highway Patrol radio traffic. The pursuit wound its way along Garey Avenue north and south in the Pomona area and west along Foothill Boulevard in La Verne before reentering the 210 freeway westbound. The rider exited north on Lone Hill Avenue in Glendora and found his way south into the neighborhoods on Lope Lane before fleeing on foot. The rider was almost immediately detained and arrested. The hazmat technicians were called out of an abundance of caution to the scene, given the incredibly potent toxicity of Fentanyl. The man overdosed and died at the scene, while an adult female was hospitalized, according to Lt. Rob Lamborghini of the Glendora Police Department. Police don’t believe that anything dangerous was found, Lamborghini said. Police and firefighters responded to a medical call inside a unit at the Rancho Glendora Mobile Villas, 1630 S. Barranca Ave., around 3:59 p.m. April 19. Officers did not enter the unit initially to investigate due to the potential hazmat situation at the scene. Health Hazmat personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the scene, said Lt. Mike Randazzo. Firefighters were called to the mobile home park for a possible overdose at 3:59 p.m., a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said Thursday. Details are few, but police and firefighters responded to a medical call inside a unit at a mobile home park. One person died at the scene, a second was taken to an area hospital, said Lt. The collision occurred before 8 a.m. in the intersection of Valley Center Avenue and Gladstone Street. The ambulance was responding to a call with lights and sirens activated when the Honda Civic drove through the intersection, striking the car, said Sgt. Marty Barrett of the Glendora Police Department. It is believed the driver of the Honda Civic had the green light as the ambulance was approaching. Drugs and alcohol are not factors in the crash. Campus Safety personnel were called to the Mathematics/Sciences building, located at the southwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Barranca Avenue, to a man seen masturbating as he was laying on the floor near some restrooms. The man was caught around 6:45 a.m. As Campus Safety personnel arrived, the suspect fled the building and entered a bus travelling east on Foothill Boulevard, according to a Citrus College email alert. Glendora Police also responded to search for the suspect. No one was injured or harmed. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, with long curly hair in a ponytail.
