Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor GLENDORA - An armed robbery suspect fled Citrus College Tuesday, but not before his victim attempted to stop his escape by jumping on the hood of his vehicle.
The robbery took place in a bathroom between the Performing Arts Center and Box Office on the west side of campus around 1:40 p.m. Campus Safety officers responded to a report of a man on the hood of a car as it was driving around the S1 parking lot, Citrus College Campus Safety said in a written statement. When Campus Safety arrived, the suspect vehicle was already gone. The victim, not a student of Citrus College, was located and reported his money was taken at knifepoint. The victim chased the suspect as the suspect entered a white, newer-model, two-door Infiniti G35 and jumped on the hood to try and stop him, Campus Safety said. The Infiniti was seen fleeing south on Citrus Avenue. No students were injured. The suspect is described as a white man, 28 to 32 years old, has black hair, brown eyes, a slender build, thin beard, has tattoos on both arms and a three-letter tattoo on the back of his head. He wore grey basketball shorts, a white sleeveless shirt and black Vans shoes. The Infiniti sported lightly-tinted windows. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call the Glendora Police Department at 626-914-8250, or Citrus College Campus Safety at 626914-8611. |
