Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ROSEMEAD - A 47-year-old man was shot to death by an unknown suspect on the streets of Rosemead Thursday night.
The man was discovered by a Sheriff’s Temple Station deputy on patrol on the 8000 block of Rosemead Boulevard around 11:03 p.m. The deputy was westbound on Garvey Avenue when he heard gunfire west of his location, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. “The victim was walking with a female acquaintance who heard multiple gunshots and saw a male suspect fleeing westbound on the north sidewalk away from the scene,” the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said in a written statement. There is no suspect description available and it is unclear if the shooting was gang related.
