Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor SAN DIMAS - A social media threat was made against San Dimas High School, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s lieutenant said Wednesday. Deputies began investigating the threat after it was reported around 7 p.m. November 7, according to Lt. Ashrafmia of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station. A copy of the message shared with SGV CityWatch was sent via text message around 4:37 p.m. An unknown subject sent an undisclosed initial text to which someone responded “do I know you?” The unknown subject responded “no, but ima shoot up san dimas high tomorrow.”
It is unclear if the message was shared over social media platforms. “We are actively investigating the threat. As of right now, we haven’t established anymore than that,” Ashrafmia said. The lieutenant refused to divulge if the threat was made over other platforms, citing the ongoing investigation. No one has been arrested or detained yet. Ashrafmia said deputies will have a stronger presence on campus Thursday. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station at 909-450-2700. |
