Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor NORTH SAN GABRIEL - An 80-year-old man is behind bars tonight, accused of critically wounding his wife and son in a domestic fight Sunday.
Adrian Ness is being held in lieu of $2 million bail after shooting his son and wife in the 6300 block of Muscatel Avenue in North San Gabriel around 1:45 p.m. Ness was booked at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station and was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, deputies said. A motive for the shooting remains unknown. Deputies responding to a reported gunshot victim encounter Ness and detained him. The son was found soon after. The wife was found possibly in a second location, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. Both son and wife were hospitalized and underwent surgery, deputies said. Two people were shot in the 6300 block of Muscatel Avenue. A suspect was taken into custody, according to Sgt. Durante of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Two patients were taken to an area hospital, according to Dispatch Supervisor melanie Flores of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The patients’ conditions are unknown. According to Sheriff’s broadcast traffic, the shooting resulted from a possible domestic fight. An adult male and woman in her 80s were reportedly shot. |
