Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor SAN MARINO - Police are searching for two men who robbed their victim of a cellphone after one of the suspects pointed a silver handgun against the victim’s head late Friday night.
The victim and his child both arrived to their residence in the 1200 block of St. Albans Road around 10:01 p.m. The child exited the vehicle and entered the home after the victim stopped. The victim drove the vehicle towards the end of the driveway and after exiting, came in contact with two men, San Marin Police said. One of the suspects pointed the silver handgun at the victim’s head and demanded the victim’s wallet, cellphone and watch, the latter was taken by the second suspect, San Marino Police said. The suspects fled east through the driveway to S.t Albans and towards Monterey Road. No one was injured. The armed suspect is described as a Black man in his 30s, 6 foot 2 inches tall to - 6 feet 3 inches tall, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes. . The second suspect is also a Black male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and was last seen wearing a black short sleeve t-shirt with white lettering in the front, black pants and black shoes. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor SAN MARINO - A transient in a stolen vehicle was found hiding in a residential garage after fleeing police on foot July 8.
The suspect was found after hiding for nearly three hours in the garage in the 500 block of Huntington Drive, San Marino Police said. A patrol officer found two vehicles blocking the road on westbound Huntington Drive at Pasqualito Drive around 12:39 a.m. The officer was told by his dispatcher that one of the vehicles was reported stolen the day prior out of Pomona, San Marino Police said. The suspect fled when the officer ordered him to turn around. A lengthy search by San Marino, South Pasadena, San Gabriel, Alhambra and Pasadena Police yielded an arrest at 3:12 a.m. Manuel Hernandez, 23, was booked on suspicion of auto theft, resisting or delaying an officer, trespassing and methamphetamine possession. Hernandez is scheduled to appear at Alhambra Superior Court July 11. |
