The suspect has been inside the In-N-Out, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd., since before 3 a.m. Deputies responding to a burglary alarm call found the man inside and he refused commands to exit, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies have narrowed their search down to the area of Golden West Avenue and Agnes Avenue between Woodruff Avenue and Garibaldi Avenue, according to Sgt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. A concerned resident alerted deputies to a burglary in progress in the 6000 block of Rowland Avenue around 5 p.m. One of the aspects fled towards Golden West through residential yards, Long said. The burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Hallwood Drive around 2:10 p.m. The men fled without taking any property, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The four suspects, described to deputies as 20-year-old Black men, fled in an older-model silver sedan northbound on Pal Mal Avenue. No weapons were seen during the burglary. Written by AARON CASTREJON | Citywatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - A suspect shot by a business owner is stable after an armed confrontation during a burglary Monday morning.
The confrontation occurred inside an auto shop in the 4700 block of Miller Drive around 3:49 a.m. The business owner was confronted by one suspect armed with a crowbar and opened fire, according to Lt. Tom McNeil of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. Deputies arrived and arrested a getaway driver. A third suspect was found in the area of the shooting and also arrested, McNeil said. No one else was injured during the burglary. |
