Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor TEMPLE CITY - A man barricaded for nearly 12 hours inside an In-N-Out was arrested with the help of a police K9.
The suspect was apprehended around 2 p.m. inside the restaurant, 10601 Lower Azusa Rd. The K9 was deployed after the suspect failed to respond to a crisis negotiation team. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deployed their confined space K9 Derek, a Petterdale Terrier. Derek Found the unidentified suspect hiding in the roof, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Temple Station Deputies arrived to In-N-Out around 2:40 a.m. to an alarm call and found the suspect inside. The restaurant manager said the suspect had no authority to be there, Deputies said. Deputies attempted to order the suspect out, but commands to exit fell on deaf ears. It is unclear if the suspect suffered any injuries from the K9. |
