CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - A Rosemead man was arrested, accused of cutting up two roommates during fisticuffs at dinner time. One victim was stabbed in a bicep, the other was stabbed in one of his forearms. The fisticuffs unfolded in the kitchen and one of the victims attempted to intervene, leading to a double stabbing, according to the Alhambra Police Department. The incident occurred July 11 near East El Molino Street and North Grand Avenue. After the attack, the suspect fled in an unknown direction, but Alhambra Police detectives tracked down 41-year-old Lihua Peng after locating his car in El Monte. He was arrested during a traffic stop. Peng was officially charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and a special allegation of causing great bodily injury, according to Los Angeles Superior Court records. Peng has since appeared twice in court and pleaded not guilty. CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - Detectives are investigating the circumstances behind a fatal stabbing after a man was found wounded early Sunday morning. First responders were sent to the 100 block of South First Street, around 1:08 a.m. after multiple witnesses reported a man who was stabbed December 22. A 30-year-old man was found wounded and taken to a trauma center where he later died, according to the Alhambra Police Department. “This homicide is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” according to the Alhambra Police Department in a written statement.
