Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - Five people were arrested after fleeing the scene of a home burglary Monday afternoon.
The suspects, four juveniles and one adult, were stopped as they fled on the I-10 freeway in Rosemead. Stolen property from a Monterey Park home was discovered, Alhambra Police said. One of the suspects approached a home in the 2500 block of South Whitney around 1:56 p.m. and knocked loudly on the front door. The suspect peered into a window and then jumped a fence into the backyard, Alhambra Police said. A resident or neighbor confronted the suspect who fled into a waiting vehicle that sped away. Searching Alhambra officers located the vehicle on the Interstate 10 freeway in Rosemead and stopped the vehicle, eventually taking all suspects into custody. Arrested was Elijah Brown, an 18-year-old Hemet man. The names and ages of the four juveniles will not be released, Alhambra Police said. All five suspects were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy charges, Alhambra Police said. |
