CityWatch Editor ALHAMBRA - A 15-year-old former Alhambra Unified School District student was arrested, accused of authoring an Instagram post threatening multiple shootings at district schools. The former student was arrested without incident and booked on suspicion of felony criminal threats. Officers were notified of the threatening posts the evening of September 10. The post reportedly identified multiple Alhambra Unified Schools and several others in the San Gabriel Valley, according to the Alhambra Police Department. Alhambra Police detectives and school resource officers identified the student and arrested him September 13 after a search warrant was served at multiple residences through the work of detectives and the department’s SWAT team, according to the Alhambra Police Department. “The Alhambra Police Department believes the sole person responsible for the post was arrested and there are no outstanding suspects being sought at this time. The Alhambra Police Department takes any form of threats to our schools seriously,” according to the Alhambra Police Department in a written statement. |
