Man Dies After Being Shot in Altadena

ALTADENA - A man died after being taken to a nearby hospital — the victim of a shooting, deputies said.

The shooting occurred on West Figueroa Drive near North Canyada Avenue just after 1 p.m. February 16, according to the Los Angeles county fire department.

The sheriffs department has yet to publicly provide a suspect description, if one exists.

A press release issued by the sheriffs department stated the incident occurred at 2 p.m. However, Los Angeles County Firefighters responded at 1:05 p.m. and a social media post from Altadena deputies warning of a road closure on Figueroa was posted at 1:32 p.m.
