CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - The driver of a stolen white Toyota Camry was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after initially leading South Pasadena Police officers on a pursuit. South Pasadena Police officers located the stolen Camry after receiving a Flock camera notification just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 28. The driver allegedly refused to stop and recklessly evaded officers who called off the pursuit due to the unsafe conditions, according to Sgt. Spencer Louie of the South Pasadena Police Department. The suspect reportedly abandoned the stolen Camry in Arcadia, Louie told SGV CityWatch. Arcadia Police assisted with a search. A perimeter search for the suspect unfolded near Fairview Avenue and Hungate Lane. Details of where exactly the suspect was found and the suspect’s booking information were not readily available. CityWatch Editor ARCADIA - A multi-city raid orchestrated by Arcadia Police detectives netted 19 arrests and a seizure of drugs and cash August 21. The raids, conducted at several locations within Arcadia and one in Rosemead, yielded arrests for various charges, including prostitution, pimping, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics for sales. Drugs, including ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, $250,000 in cash and other items related to prostitution were confiscated, according to the Arcadia Police Department. The investigation into allegations of prostitution and brothels operating in the city began in March of 2024. Detectives identified several residences: the 100 block of West Live Oak Ave, the 800 block of Arcadia Avenue and the 2700 block of Holly Avenue. The Arcadia Police Department SWAT team was assisted by SWAT teams from nearby cities.
