Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor AVOCADO HEIGHTS - A man was shot three times and walked several blocks to get help at a gas station Wednesday night, a Sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The victim wound up at the Arco gas station, 460 Workman Mill Rd. Deputies followed a trail of blood to the crime scene at Basetdale Avenue and Don Julian Road, according to Lt. Julie Geary of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. Firefighters responded to a call from deputies around 7:15 p.m. A gas station employee called 911, Geary told SGV CityWatch. The victim was transported to an area trauma center, according to Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “The victim was shot three times and is in stable condition. He is expected to live,” Geary told SGV CityWatch. The victim is being uncooperative, Geary told SGV CityWatch. No suspect or vehicle description is available. |
