LOS ANGELES - The coroner identified recently a man who was discovered dead near an Azusa sidewalk.
Felipe De Jesus, 41, was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. De Jesus does not have a city of residence, according to coroner Investigator Kristy McCracken.
De Jesus died from sequelae of chronic alcoholism, according to a coroner report.
Firefighters responded to South Azusa Avenue near East Roland Street for a medical emergency outside a church at 10:06 p.m. September 24. Firefighters declared De Jesus dead on arrival, according to Dispatch Supervisor Martin Rangel of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
De Jesus was declared dead around 10:12 p.m.
A cause of death is deferred, pending additional investigation.
