Homicide detectives believe the gunman, 58 Wen-Dong Huang gravely assaulted his estranged wife. He shot and killed her daughter, Huang’s stepdaughter, before ending his own life, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. The stepdaughter was identified as 18-year-old Siying Wang. The wife continues to recover from her injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Baldwin Park Police originally responded to a home in the 3300 block of Athol Street just after 2 p.m. for a domestic violence report. They found Huang and Wang already dead when they arrived. Huang’s estranged wife was discovered gravely wounded and transported for her injuries.

BALDWIN PARK – Police released dramatic video from July 29 of a man being rescued after attempting suicide multiple times.
The man was ultimately found threatening to jump from the Baldwin Park Boulevard overpass onto the I-10 freeway, but officers talked with him until they were able to climb up onto the chain link and pulled him back to safety, Baldwin Park Police said.
Officers originally responded to a restaurant in the 3100 block of Baldwin Park Boulevard around 1:38 p.m. for a report of a man attempting to hang himself from a tree, Baldwin Park Police said, but the man fled before police arrived.
A quick search led police to the Baldwin Park Boulevard overpass. The man was taken for a mental evaluation. |
