23-year-old Christopher Perez of Baldwin Park was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Perez was found suffering several gunshot wounds at Bassett Park, 510 N. Vineland Ave., before 11:30 p.m. Friday. Since then, it is unclear if homicide detectives have developed a suspect identity or a motive. Industry Station deputies responded to the shooting at 2:20 a.m. They arrived and found one man outside the location, 13217 Valley Blvd., unresponsive and suffering from at least one gunshot wound. “The suspect drove his vehicle alongside two victims. The suspect exited the vehicle and fired multiple rounds at the victims,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The shooting took place in the 13200 block of Valley Boulevard at 2:22 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victim died at the scene.
While the precise location was no yet given, the shooting may have taken place at or near Bliss Showgirls, 13217 Valley Boulevard, according to a CityWatch reader who works in the area. A suspect is not known at this time. |
