BASSETT - A man’s death led to a homicide investigation Tuesday night.

First responders were sent to the 13500 block of Temple Avenue in unincorporated Bassett around 9:53 p.m. A male adult suffered unspecified injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Homicide detectives have yet to publicly share the apparent cause of death.

LOS ANGELES - Authorities identified a man recently who died at a public park December 11 after being shot.

23-year-old Christopher Perez of Baldwin Park was identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

Perez was found suffering several gunshot wounds at Bassett Park, 510 N. Vineland Ave., before 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Since then, it is unclear if homicide detectives have developed a suspect identity or a motive.
