Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor Bassett - A man and woman were arrested after fleeing police who attempted to serve a search warrant Friday.
The unidentified driver and passenger fled El Monte Police just after 5 a.m. November 2. The pursuit barely lasted two minutes before the suspects were taken into custody, according to Lt. Ernie Kramer of the El Monte Police Department. El Monte officers were in La Puente to serve the search warrant and located their suspect driving in the area. The officers trailed the suspect when he fled from them, initiating the chase, Kramer said. The driver crashed through a fence in the 800 block of Stichman Avenue and hit a wall. No one was injured, Kramer said. The booking information for both suspects was not available. Kramer could not provide further details, citing the ongoing investigation. |
