It is unclear exactly why the teenagers began fighting each other at the park, 20261 E. Covina Blvd., but at one point someone brandished what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at some of the teens. Some of the incident was caught on cell phone video. The park is across the street from Charter Oak High School. “Our students' safety is always paramount, and I want to thank those who contacted the school and the Sheriff’s Department to report the incident,” according to Charter Oak High School Principal Matthew Dultz in a written statement sent to parents the day of the brawl. The San Dimas Sheriff’s Station said the Sheriff’s Parks Bureau is handling the investigation. Several messages were left seeking information on the investigation, but those messages were not returned. It is unclear if any arrests were made or if a weapon was seized. A suspect unloaded a firearm at the house party in the 17000 block of East Bellbrook Street October 30. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station found the four wounded Latino men. One victim was already dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The three remaining victims were transported to a hospital where one of them was pronounced dead. The two other victims’ conditions are apparently not publicly known. The collision occurred January 27 between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The injured man was found behind USA Gasoline, 20354 E. Arrow Hwy. in Charter Oak. Victoria Wright Fisher, a 73-year-old Glendora woman, was identified as a suspect after the investigation was transferred from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to the California Highway Patrol Baldwin Park Office. Fisher was found and arrested in Covina February 4 at 10:50 a.m. She drove a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder when the collision occurred, according to Officer Rodrigo Jimenez of the California Highway Patrol Baldwin Park Office. The circumstances that led to the collision are not immediately known. It is unclear if alcohol led to the crash. The victim, identified as Oliver, was left with countless injuries: a broken pelvis, 17 broken ribs, a broken ankle, collapsed lungs, a broken leg, a broken clavicle and more. He recently began battling pneumonia, for which he underwent surgery to clear his lungs, according to his sister, Maggie Bunten. Security footage from USA Gasoline reportedly showed the collision. The driver entered the gas station lot from Arrow Highway, drove behind the gas station and struck Oliver. The driver exited the vehicle after the crash, reentered the SUV and drove out to Bonnie Cove Avenue, Bunten told SGV CityWatch. The arrest was made one day after the case files were delivered to the CHP Baldwin Park Office, Jimenez told SGV CityWatch. Fisher was issued a citation and released the same day of her arrest. She is expected to appear in the West Covina Courthouse, according to Los Angeles County booking records. Arrow Hwy around 7:37 p.m. September 20, according to Sgt. Neill of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. The victim was treated for multiple stab wounds at the scene and later hospitalized, Neill told SGV CityWatch. The victim was hesitant on providing too many details, Neil told SGV CityWatch, but deputies believe three men and one woman were involved. A motive was not known. One of two people inside a vehicle parked at Charter Oak Liquor, 20040 Arrow Hwy., shot at the man who received a wound to the mid torso area. He walked inside the liquor store where he collapsed, according to Lt. Elisabeth Sachs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. The shooting occurred around 8:13 p.m. August 30.
The victim walked up to a silver four-door Nissan Altima and spoke briefly to the occupants. For unspecified reasons, one of the two suspects shot at the man, Sachs told SGV CityWatch. The suspects, only described as a white male and white female, fled East in the Altima through the parking lot, Sachs told SGV CityWatch. A crowbar was used to pry into the business in the 20600 block of Arrow Highway around 5:30 a.m. Two of the three suspects entered the business and took a file cabinet containing currency and checks, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. The loss to the business was more than $2,000. The cabinet was placed into a white four-door Honda driven by a female suspect. All three suspects escaped in the Honda.
The suspect caught on camera is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s. He wore a black hat, black jacket, blue jean pants and grey shoes. The second suspect is a Hispanic man in his 20s. He wore a multi-color beanie, olive green jacket and tan pants. The female driver is a Hispanic woman in her 20s. She wore a white t-shirt and black shorts. Arrow Hwy., sometime after 9:30 p.m. July 18. The suspect sprayed mace at the victim and took off with about $1,000, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station.
The suspect, only described as a Hispanic man, 30 to 35 years old clad in a black shirt, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 250 pounds, fled south on Sunflower Avenue in a vehicle described as an orange four-door Toyota Corolla. The shooting unfolded at the Club Pacifica Apartments, 21042 E. Arrow Hwy., around 3:10 p.m. July 17. Deputies responding to an assault with a deadly weapon call found one man with gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was hospitalized and later died, deputies said. Deputies later learned that a second gunshot victim was hospitalized.
“He suffered from several gunshot wounds to the upper torso and was in unknown condition,” deputies said in a written statement. It is unclear if a gunman is outstanding, or may be one of the men or both. No motive is known, or is not being disclosed. The shooting unfolded at Club Pacifica Apartments, 21042 E. Arrow Hwy., around 3:10 p.m. July 17. The victim was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. It is unclear if the victim was shot in an apartment unit, or outside. Deputies have a large area of a courtyard taped off. No other Information is available. The man was attacked as he slept at 19850 East Arrow Highway December 7. The victim awoke around 11:45 p.m. to find two to four men attacking him, said Sgt. Bertha Payes of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. The man suffered three stab wounds to his torso and an arm, Payes said. The address given is a mobile home park, but it was unclear if the man was inside a residence when attacked. The suspects fled southbound on Glendora Avenue. No suspect description is available. |
