Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CHARTER OAK - Firefighters knocked down a bedroom fire inside an apartment complex early Saturday morning. Three people were displaced in the fire, which was reported just before 2 a.m. at Covina Manor, 20420 E. Arrow Hwy., July 13. Firefighters were able to keep the fire to just the bedroom, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
No one was injured. The fire was knocked down in a little more than 20 minutes. The cause is under investigation.

CHARTER OAK - No one was injured after a vehicle burst into flames at a medical clinic Thursday.
What was described as a portable dialysis truck ignited at 21304 E. Arrow Hwy. May 16. Firefighters were called at 12:09 p.m. and arrived seven minutes later to extinguish the flames, according to a representative with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
An ambulance was originally called, but was cancelled en route by firefighters. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor CHARTER OAK - A fire caused undisclosed damage to two apartment units at a complex on Arrow Highway Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported at Covina Manor, 20420 E. Arrow Hwy., around 4:39 p.m. The fire, the cause of which is still under investigation, dispelled residents from the affected units. according to Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Fire trucks and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s vehicles had all lanes of eastbound Arrow Highway blocked during the fire fight. Knockdown was declared around 5 p.m. and it is unclear if traffic lanes are completely open again. The American Red Cross was being called to aid the displaced residents. No injuries were reported. |
