Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CITRUS - A 19-year-old Hispanic man was hospitalized Christmas Eve after being found with two gunshot wounds, a Sheriff’s sergeant said.
Deputies were called at 1:35 a.m. to the 18200 block of Renwick Road in unincorporated Azusa by a resident who discovered the victim in the resident’s yard, according to Sgt. Pete Shupe of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Sheriff’s Station. Deputies believe the victim was shot elsewhere, due to the lack of spent shell casings in the surrounding area and because the victim’s wounds did not appear to be too fresh, Shupe said. “He was shot twice. Once in the abdomen and once in his left wrist. He was transported to a local hospital,” Shupe said. The victim is refusing to provide deputies any information regarding the shooting or a suspect, Shupe said. A suspect or vehicle description was not available. Anyone who may have information on or who may have witnessed the shooting is urged to call the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station at 909-450-2700. |
