Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor CITRUS - A suspect allegedly carrying a modified AR-15 was caught after running from deputies in unincorporated Azusa.
The suspect was spotted in the 5000 of Fenimore Street, according to Lt. Elisabeth Sachs of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station. “Deputies were patrolling the unincorporated area of Azusa when they encountered a male with unknown object in his hands. After further investigation, the deputies recognized the object to be a modified AR-15 rifle. The subject tossed the weapon and ran,” according to the Sheriff’s San Dimas Station in a social media post. Deputies contained the area and with the help of a K-9 unit and the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, the suspect was found and arrested. *NOTE: Despite speaking personally with four different supervisors at the San Dimas Station over a period of several days, this reporter was unable to obtain the day and time of the incident and the suspect’s booking information. |
