Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor INDUSTRY – Deputies are investigating the death of a woman who was found near Puente Hills Mall Sunday night.
Deputies and Los Angeles County Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of South Azusa Avenue around 9:40 p.m. March 13. The victim, only described as a female adult, was hospitalized where she was later pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Los Angeles County fire fighters were dispatched at 9:40 p.m. They were on scene six minutes later and transported the victim at 9:54 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County fire department. “After a preliminary investigation was conducted, it was determined the pedestrian death was not a homicide. The additional investigation will be conducted by LASD Traffic Services Detail,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau in a written statement.
