Barricaded Suspect Detained After Alleged Domestic Argument Leads To Shooting

DIAMOND BAR – An alleged barricaded suspect was safely detained Thursday after a reported shooting left one person injured.

The suspect barricaded himself in a residence in the 23700 block of Highland Valley Road January 28. Residents nearby were evacuated as a precaution, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The Information Bureau announced at 12:19 p.m. that the suspect was detained by the Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio traffic, a domestic argument led to a shooting. One victim was hospitalized. The injuries are considered not life-threatening.

Firefighters were initially dispatched to the scene at 10:43 a.m.
