CityWatch Editor UPDATE: The CHP reports that one person died. The victim has yet to be identified. Five people were injured in the crash, with two people being ejected from an SUV. One of the victims, a female, was initially described as critical, according to CHP radio traffic. The crash occurred at 6:08 a.m. All affected lanes were reopened four hours later. It is unclear if the deceased victim died at the scene, or a hospital. DIAMOND BAR - At least five people are injured after a silver SUV possibly struck another vehicle and overturned Sunday. The crash occurred on the westbound 60 freeway just east of Grand Avenue around 6:10 a.m. July 26. Firefighters arrived and initially reported multiple people ejected from the SUV, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic. At 6:28 a.m., a California Highway Patrol officer reported 5 people occupied the overturned SUV. One female was critical, one male was already transported and three other occupants remained inside, according to CHP radio traffic. ********** Copyright 2026.
