Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR – An armed man donning a red jacket and white beanie stole cash after brandishing a handgun Sunday at a gas station.
The robbery took place at the Chevron gas station, 150 S. Diamond Bar Blvd. March 11 around 1:30 p.m. A man armed with a silver handgun took about $100 to $200 from a Chevron Gas Station about 40 minutes ago. The suspect, described as a Hispanic man in a red jacket, red hat, beige pants, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, took the cash and fled the gas station on foot, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station crime broadcast. It is not immediately known if the gun is real or replica. A victim in the robbery noted some type of lighting on the silver handgun. It is not known if it was a laser sight or a stun gun. The suspect fled on foot towards a neighborhood on Palomino Drive.
