Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A 39-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple lacerations to his limbs Saturday after being found at a church. Deputies were called to a possible burglary in progress on Sunset Crossing Road March 3 around 1 p.m. Deputies were then directed to a church where a man, the possible burglary suspect, was found severely bleeding. The suspect was found at Global Mission Church, 23425 Sunset Crossing Rd, according to Capt. Ron Singleton of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Firefighters were dispatched at 1:14 p.m. and found the suspect with a crush injury and laceration to an arm and lacerations to his legs, Singleton said.
Deputies are investigating if the injuries were self-inflicted, according to Sgt. Cardoza of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Diamond Bar/Walnut Station. Cardoza did not immediately know where the original burglary call was reported at. According to witnesses, the suspect entered the church already injured, Cardoza said. The suspect was treated and later hospitalized. |
