Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A generalized threat against Diamond Ranch High School in Pomona was discovered recently, deputies said. The undisclosed threat was posted to a social media platform. Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Walnut/Diamond Bar Station are working with school administrators to ensure the safety of everyone at the campus, deputies said in a written statement. Extra patrols are being conducted in the area and dedicated personnel are on campus for the duration of the school day. Pomona Unified School District counselors took to social media Wednesday to state the threat is not credible, but more deputies will be present as a precaution.
A sample of a threat has been shared throughout Facebook and Twitter recently, with posters mentioning Diamond Ranch High School. One user who shared the post said the threat was found in a cafeteria bathroom. It is unclear if the threat being shared on social media is the specific threat being investigated. Anyone with information on the source of the threat is urged to call the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station at 909-595-2264.
