Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DIAMOND BAR - A man was severely beaten, left bloodied and semi-conscious in a residential neighborhood Sunday night after being attacked by two suspects who took cash from him, a Sheriff’s sergeant said. Deputies responded to the 2200 block of Evergreen Springs Drive around 10 p.m. January 6. Possibly two men approached the victim, beat him and stole $20,000, a cellphone and his wallet, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station crime broadcast.
“He [the victim] was pretty bloodied up when we got there,” said Sgt. D. Luter of the Industry Sheriff’s Station. “There were no weapons. It was all hands and feet.”
Deputies are still acquiring details, but believe the victim may have come home with casino winnings. The suspects may have followed the victim home, Luter said. The victim was hospitalized. Anyone who may have witnessed the attack or the suspects fleeing the scene is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station at 626-330-3322. |
