The grand theft occurred at T-Mobile, 1088 Huntington Dr., at 1 p.m. The suspects’ faces were partially covered when they entered and began taking the property once the security cords were cut, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The suspects fled into a tan four-door Mercedes-Benz E320. The loss was more than $9,850, deputies said. The suspects also caused $2,500 damage to a display rack. The petty theft occurred around 1:45 a.m. at the convenience store, 1802 Huntington Dr. The man and woman entered the store and lingered for 30 minutes. The woman and distracted the clerk by calling him to the rear of the store to clean up a beer bottle she broke on the floor, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
The man capitalized on the distracted clerk by taking $900 in lottery tickets from behind the front counter, deputies said. Both the man and woman fled the 7-Eleven together and ran out of view, deputies said. The robbery occurred inside a smoke shop, 1144 Huntington Dr. The suspect walked in already wearing the surgical mask and asked to enter the cigar room. After briefly entering the cigar room exited and went for the tickets, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
“The suspect exited, grabbed a case containing eight rolls of lottery tickets and ran out of the location,” deputies said. The suspect was only described as a Black man in a white surgical mask. The unidentified suspect was identified after the victim, whose purse was taken at knifepoint, provided additional information to detectives, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The robbery occurred August 17 around 4:08 a.m. The victim is the owner of Le Donuts, 1802 Huntington Dr., where the crime occurred the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
“After further investigation, the suspect, who apparently resides with his girlfriend across the street from the donut shop, was positively identified and arrested without incident,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. The purse was found and returned. The robbery occurred at LE Donuts, 1802 E. Huntington Dr., at 4 a.m. As the employee was opening up, a man approached her, brandished a knife and demanded her purse.
“The victim fearing for her life, gave the suspect her purse,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station. The suspect fled south on Highland Avenue and ran into an apartment complex, 1235 Highland Ave. The suspect was not located. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor DUARTE - Deputies arrested one suspect after he and an armed accomplice took beer from a 7-Eleven July 19. The suspects walked into 7-Eleven, 1430 Mountain Ave., around 3:40 a.m. One suspect flashed a handgun from his waistband. The clerk immediately called 9-1-1, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Temple Station.
The suspects took two cases of beer. The clerk, fearing for his life, told the suspects to take the beer and not hurt him. “One of the suspect’s was detained and arrested by responding deputies, the other was not located. No gun was recovered,” deputies said. No suspect description was given. |
