EL MONTE - Investigators continue their search for a man caught on camera as he grabbed, hit and attempted to rape an 18-year-old victim Sunday.
Security camera’s from the nearby residence of Nicole Chang recorded the attack in the 3300 block of Tyler Avenue February 17 around 12:01 a.m. The suspect walked past the victim who was walking in the opposite direction. The suspect turned around and grabbed the victim from behind.

The suspect forced the victim down and tried to sexually assault her, according to the El Monte Police Department.
The victim was dragged down Brockway Street from the corner at Tyler Avenue. The victim fought back and hit the suspect multiple times in the face, El Monte Police said. The suspect is described as a clean-shaven Hispanic man with brown eyes. he is 30 to 40 years old, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He wore a long-sleeve blue shirt and dark pants.
