Holland was the only occupant of the vehicle. No one else was injured, Tibbetts told SGV CityWatch. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor GLENDORA - Nighttime construction is scheduled to take place on two heavily-travelled roads in Glendora beginning both Monday and Tuesday. A drilling operation will take place on eastbound Route 66 at the freight bridge near Compromise Line Road. Work will also be done in the two northbound inside lanes of Lone Hill Avenue at the railroad crossing south of Auto Center Drive. Both projects are scheduled to start Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28 at 7 p.m. Each project is scheduled to end the following mornings at 3:30 a.m. Construction company Kiewit-Parsons will conduct soil analysis work on behalf of the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority at each location ahead of the planned light rail extension from Azusa to Pomona.
Residents and drivers should expect construction noise from the drill rig engine, light drilling, and construction vehicle back up alarms. The work zones will be coned off and through access maintained, according to the construction authority. Anyone with questions can call the Project Construction Questions Hotline at 626-513-5788, or email communityrelations@kiewit-parsons.com.
