Authorities Investigate Death Behind Glendora Walmart Jan. 2

GLENDORA - A woman was found deceased behind a Walmart Supercenter Thursday.

First responders were called to the area behind Walmart, 1950 Auto Centre Dr. around 10:07 a.m. January 2 on a reported Emergency Medical Response, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The woman, found near the 57 freeway on ramp in a tent, was declared dead at the scene. She was found inside a tent in a homeless encampment, according to the California Highway Patrol.

​Foul play is not suspected, the California Highway Patrol said in a written statement.

Homeless encampments have long occupied the embankment behind the Walmart.

The woman has not been publicly identified.
