GLENDORA – Three suspects caught fleeing from police November 9 are facing first-degree residential burglary and grand theft charges.
Tywan Lamont Brown, 25, DiJonn Cooper, 25, and Amber Dayanara Echeverria, 20, had charges officially filed against them November 14 by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
Echeverria was additionally charged with felony evading. Cooper was additionally charged with carrying a loaded firearm in a public place or vehicle, according to Los Angeles Superior Court records.
Police gave chase to the three suspects who fled the scene of a residential burglary in the 100 block of North Catherine Park Drive just before 3 p.m. The driver refused to stop and led police on a chase until the driver crashed at Glendora Avenue and Route 66.
Brown and Cooper allegedly ran from the crashed vehicle, leaving Echeverria behind. A multi-agency search helped to corral the suspects hiding in a yard in the 600 block of South Minnesota Avenue.
Cooper and Brown are being held in lieu of nearly $1.3 million bail. Echeverria posted bond and was released November 16.
All three suspects are scheduled for an appearance in the West Covina Courthouse November 28.
