Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor HACIENDA HEIGHTS – Two CHP officers were briefly hospitalized July 25 after a semi hauling a tractor trailer sideswiped their patrol vehicle and the vehicle of a stranded motorist.
The collisions occurred on the westbound 60 freeway east of Hacienda Boulevard around 4:22 a.m. One of the officers was seated in the stranded motorist’s Nissan with the vehicle’s owner in a passenger seat. The other officer used his patrol vehicle to push the Nissan off the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. “The officers suffered minor injuries and were transported to Pomona Valley Hospital for evaluation and have both been released. The female passenger and the driver of tractor-trailer combination suffered no injuries and refused medical treatment,” according to the California Highway Patrol in a written statement. “A passenger in the tractor-trailer combination was also unharmed.” |
