Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor HACIENDA HEIGHTS - The family of a girl found dead, partially stuffed in a duffle bag near a Hacienda Heights trail have apparently come forward and identified her Sunday. The girl has been identified by family as 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones. Family members added items to an ever-growing memorial near where the girl was found in the 3600 block of Hacienda Boulevard near Glenmark Drive. Antonio Jones identified himself as Trinity’s father and told KTLA he wants answers and wants justice for his youngest daughter.
It is unclear if the father or any other member of her family publicly explained how the girl ended up missing and if her disappearance was ever reported to authorities. A security hold was placed on the deceased girl’s coroner case by law enforcement, according to Rudy Molano of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Deputies have yet to publicly identify the girl, according to Deputy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Anyone with information regarding the girl’s death is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau at 323-890-5500. Information can be provided anonymously by calling L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). |
