Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE - Investigators are seeking more potential victims of a trio of burglars arrested after fleeing a crash at the end of a brief, but dangerous chase. The burglars, already linked to one home burglary, may have hit an additional home November 10 before a deputy attempted to stop them as they descended Angeles Crest Highway. The pursuing deputy cancelled the chase due to the reckless driving of the suspect behind the wheel -- minutes later, the driver crashed the Lexus in Glendale on the southbound 2 freeway. Deputies searched the crashed Lexus and found jewelry and other items confirmed stolen from one home. “The suspects are believed to have committed a second residential burglary earlier the same morning on the 5500 block of Burning Tree Drive,” deputies said in a written statement.
All three suspects wee booked on suspicion of residential burglary. The driver was additionally booked on suspicion of felony hit and run and evading a peace officer. The Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau and Burglary-Robbery Task Force are handling the investigation.
