Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE – Detectives seek a man who was caught on security camera attempting to rob a victim as the victim withdrew cash from an ATM August 4.
The crime was recorded at 5:41 p.m. in the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard. The suspect waited near the ATM and as the victim withdrew the funds, the suspect ran up behind the victim, grabbed the victim’s arm and attempted to take the cash, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “The victim screamed and resisted, causing the suspect to run away without obtaining any money,” according to the Sheriff’s Department in a written statement. The suspect is described as a white man 20 to 25 years old who stands 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weights 150 to 180 pounds. He wore a yellow baseball cap with the numbers “888” embroidered in purple, gold-framed aviator sunglasses, a black neck gaiter, a black Kenzo tiger print sweater, black sweat pants, black shoes and he carried a dark gray Gucci satchel. The suspect has tattoos on his left hand and fingers.
