Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Public Corruption Unit recently arrested the La Habra Heights assistant fire chief, accusing him of impersonating a police officer, conducting traffic stops and even unlawfully detaining citizens.
Timothy Peel, 35, Was arrested at his home after Detective served a search warrant January 27 in the 15000 block of Danbrook Drive in Whittier. He has since been booked on suspicion of impersonating a peace officer and a false imprisonment, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “The suspect used a 2020 white Chevy Silverado 2500 HD equipped with lights and siren to conduct the traffic stops,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Public Integrity Division. Detectives are seeking any other potential victims who can call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at 213-229-1700.
