Timothy Peel, 35, Was arrested at his home after Detective served a search warrant January 27 in the 15000 block of Danbrook Drive in Whittier. He has since been booked on suspicion of impersonating a peace officer and a false imprisonment, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. “The suspect used a 2020 white Chevy Silverado 2500 HD equipped with lights and siren to conduct the traffic stops,” according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Public Integrity Division. Detectives are seeking any other potential victims who can call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at 213-229-1700. Investigators stated that firefighters responding to a vehicle fire found a female dead inside after flames were extinguished. Investigators did not state, or they may not yet know, if the female suffered any gunshot wounds. LA HABRA HEIGHTS - Homicide investigators are piecing together the details of a fatal shooting that occurred Monday morning. Investigators are initially stating that a woman was shot to death at Nabal Road and North Cypress Street. Investigators were notified at 10:10 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The victim died at the scene. At 10:04 a.m. La Habra Heights firefighters responded to that location for a vehicle fire. It is unclear if the vehicle fire call is related to the fatal shooting. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA HABRA HEIGHTS – A resident opened fire on a burglary suspect who entered a home Monday night.
The suspect forced his way in through the front door and confronted a resident who was armed. The homeowner fired at the suspect, according to Lt. James Long of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The incident occurred in the 900 block of Dorothea Road May 10. In an interview with SGV CityWatch, Long said the suspect was possibly uninjured. Bullet fragments were collected at the scene. He did not yet know if blood was found as well. The suspect is described as a heavyset Hispanic man, 30 to 35 years old. He wore a white shirt and dark pants. He fled in a white single-cab pickup truck, which was possibly a Dodge or Toyota Tundra, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s crime broadcast. |
