The was found dead in the 13000 block of Valley Boulevard around 1:53 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The manner of death, as well as a description of the victim were not disclosed. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE - Deputies are searching for the trigger man who opened fire on a vehicle Sunday night, eventually killing a 10-year-old boy within.
The shooting took place near Amar Road and North Hacienda Blvd., May 17. An unknown suspect in a dark colored sedan opened fire. The boy was struck in the upper torso, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The boy was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, but was eventually transported to County/USC where he died, Koerner said. Deputies initially responded to the area of North Fifth Street and Temple Avenue where the victim ended up. But soon after responding, deputies learned that the shooting took place near the Kentucky Fried Chicken, 939 N. Hacienda Blvd., where they found evidence of the shooting, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE - Deputies have ended a search for a suspect who ran from a wanted vehicle at a Aileron Avenue and Maplegrove Street, a Sheriff’s sergeant said.
The suspect may have lived in the neighborhood deputies were searching. The suspect was in a stolen vehicle and was exiting a driveway when a deputy recognized it and tried to detain the suspect, but he ran off, according to Sergeant Ha of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The search begin around 3:30 PM May 13, according to Ha. Containment was over around 9:30 p.m. without a suspect in custody, according to Sheriff’s radio traffic. |
