Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE - Deputies are investigating a shooting Monday night that left a man and woman unscathed. The shooting occurred in the 700 block of Tonopah Avenue around 10:50 p.m. August 12. One of possibly four suspects in a white or silver Dodge Charger opened fire, according to Sgt. Kneubuhler of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. The woman was seated in a parked vehicle. The man was standing outside the vehicle when four to five rounds were fired at him. The man ran from the scene and the gunman continued to fire at him, Kneubuhler said.
A house and two vehicles were hit by gunfire, said Lt. James Long of the Sheriff’s Industry Station. The man being fired at did not claim any gang affiliation, but did have numerous tattoos. Deputies were working to confirm if he did, in fact, have ties to any gangs, Kneubuhler said. The suspects are only described as Hispanic males. |
