Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE – A suspect armed with a four-inch knife escaped in a waiting vehicle after reportedly stabbing a victim in the arm Sunday afternoon.
The assault with a deadly weapon occurred near 17301 Valley Blvd. just after 4:30 p.m. July 24. The armed suspect exited a black older-model Hyundai SUV and stabbed his victim once in the left arm, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s radio broadcast. Sgt. Smith of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station is unaware of any arrests and is unsure of a motive for the crime. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, Smith told SGV CityWatch. The suspect was described to deputies as a Hispanic man around 35 years old. He was described as heavy set, stood 5 feet 6 inches, wore a black shirt and black shorts, according to the radio broadcast. The Hyundai SUV was driven away by another heavy-set Hispanic man. |
