Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor LA PUENTE - Deputies are investigating two different incidents involving guns early Sunday that left one victim with a gunshot wound.
The first incident involved the weapon brandishing, reported at Sunkist Avenue and Amar Road just after midnight. A black Chevy Impala, possibly occupied by as many as five people, drove by the victim. The driver and front passenger pulled out guns and pointed them in the sky, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station. No shots were fired and no one was hurt. The driver and front passenger were described as Hispanic men, 19-20 years old, both with shaved heads. The Impala featured tinted windows and was driven away northbound on Sunkist. Around 3:40 a.m., a man was reportedly shot in the arm in the 1100 block of Molinar Avenue. The front passenger of a black four-door sedan fired at the victim with a semi-automatic handgun, Sheriff’s deputies said. The black sedan was seen being driven south on Molinar towards Amar Road. There was no suspect description available. |
