Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor MONROVIA - A Claremont man and Seal Beach woman were taken into custody March 14 after a vigilant caller reported they were smoking meth inside a car, police said.
The man and woman were seen allegedly doing drugs in the vehicle outside a business in the 100 block of West Walnut around 11:10 p.m. arriving officers determined one suspect had multiple no-bail felony drug warrants and was in possession of methamphetamine, according to Monrovia Police. The second suspect was found with a large quantity of meth and during a vehicle search, officers located a large amount of cash, scales for weighing the drugs and empty baggies to place the drugs in, Monrovia Police said. Richard Reyes and Tina Anderberg were arrested and booked at the Monrovia City Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale. Written by AARON CASTREJON | CityWatch Editor MONROVIA – A man drinking alcohol in his car allegedly heckled a baseball bat-wielding suspect who then began hitting the man and his vehicle Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Canyon just before 7:30 p.m. The man was allegedly drinking and sitting in his car when another man, carrying a bat, walked by. The man began heckling the other as he walked by, Monrovia Police said. “The subject with the bat began hitting the vehicle with the bat. The victim exited the car and told the suspect to stop damaging his car. The suspect began hitting the victim with the bat, then fled the area,” Monrovia Police said. The man in the car was hospitalized with minor injuries. No suspect description was given. |
