Written by AARON CASTREJON CityWatch Editor MONROVIA - Sheriff’s detectives are assisting the Monrovia Police Department after a domestic violence suspect took a woman against her will, authorities said. A 31-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped by 27-year-old Robert Anthony Camou. The kidnapping was reported around 8:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Vaquero Road July 29, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Arriving Monrovia officers located evidence at the scene that an assault occurred at the home. The woman’s injuries are unclear. Camou and victim Amanda Kathleen Custer, are or have been dating and apparently have a history of domestic violence, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Custer was witnessed being placed in the rear hatch of a grey, four-door 2017 Toyota Prius with license plate 8AOR167.
Camou should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows either Custer’s or Camou’s whereabouts is urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Information can be provided anonymously by calling L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). |
