Montebello Police learned of the planned looting of the Shops at Montebello, 2134 Montebello Towne Center, June 1. Officers worked in conjunction with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies and the California Highway Patrol to prevent looting from taking place, the Montebello Police Department said. The same was slated to take place June 2, but was thwarted by law enforcement again, Montebello Police said.
“The Montebello Police Department respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights. Our mission of protecting the community of Montebello and upholding the Constitution is our top priority and our sworn duty,” according to Montebello Police Chief Brad Keller. |
