Officers were notified by a concerned parent of Vail High School November 19 after the parent’s child saw the threat on the Snapchat app, according to the Montebello Police Department. “Detectives immediately responded and interviewed the student as to the origin of the social media post. Ultimately the student admitted to creating the post and sharing it on social media so that he wouldn’t have to attend school today,” the Montebello Police Department said Tuesday.
